Cogwind is a game for iPhone and iPad made by Joel Roos Studio. The short version: Cogwind does not collect any data about you.
No data collected
Cogwind does not collect, store on any server, share or sell personal data. We never see who plays, how you play or what device you use.
No network access
The game does not connect to the internet. It works fully offline and sends nothing to us or to anyone else.
No analytics, ads or tracking
There are no analytics or crash-reporting tools, no ads, no third-party code that tracks you, and no tracking across apps or websites. Cogwind has no account and no sign-in.
If you have chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may pass on anonymous crash reports. That is Apple's setting, not something Cogwind collects, and you can turn it off at any time.
TestFlight beta
While Cogwind is in beta, it is distributed through Apple's TestFlight. If you join the beta, Apple runs it under its own privacy policy, and any feedback or screenshots you choose to send through TestFlight reach us. We use them only to improve the game.
What stays on your device
Your progress (raids cleared, coins, harbor buildings, the daily calendar and your captain card) and your settings, such as sound, are saved on your device only, in the app's own storage (iOS UserDefaults). They are removed when you delete the app.
Purchases
Cogwind is completely free and has no in-app purchases, so no payment details are ever involved.
Children
Because Cogwind collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children either.
Changes
If this ever changes, we will update this page and the date at the top before a new version of the game does anything different.
